Language, Listening, and Literacy Learning: Birth to Five Program
A research-based program for developing oral language, concepts of print, listening comprehension, phonemic awareness, early literacy reading and writing skills of young children in Even Start, Head Start, Pre-kindergarten and other childcare programs.

Twiggs County, Georgia Even Start staff members participate in activities to develop fine and gross motor skills for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Each of them has been involved in Language, Listening and Literacy Learning: Birth to Five training for four years.
They have made several presentations with Dr. Sarah B. Hawthorne, and their director Mrs. Glenda Eady, at National Even Start Conferences in Washington, D.C. and San Diego, California.
