A wonderful Happy Birthday Dinner at Back Burner for Fleming! We enjoyed delicious food and delightful conversation. Much love felt by all. Three “Grands” could not attend but sent their love. And, then, Governor Kemp serves as a great read aloud supporter during “Literacy Day at the Capitol.” How exciting that these children were invited into the Governor’s Office to continue with Read Aloud Month! A big thank you to Georgia’s new governor for being a great role model!

Yes! We had lots of fun first in Ms. Mack’s and, then,in Mrs. Smith’s kindergarten classes. Dr. Sarah was impressed that the students concluded that Dr. Seuss had a great “imagination”. We focused on the facts that he called himself a “doodler” and used rhyming words in all the books he wrote for children.

Dr. Sarah is looking forward to reading to kindergarteners on Friday to celebrate Dr. Seuss Day! She will read “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street” which was his first book. Then, she will share information from a non-fiction book about the real life of Theodor (Ted) Seuss Geisel. Last, she will…

Dr. Sarah enjoyed attending the Twiggs County Leadership Retreat. It was a pleasure to work with many leaders from inside and outside our county.
